· Chemical resistant — withstands solvents and cleaning agents

· More durable than HIPS — longer service life for reusable trays

· Higher temperature resistance — maintains shape in warmer environments

· Dimensionally stable — holds tight tolerances over time

· Better rigidity — thinner gauges can be used for same stiffness

· Permanent ESD protection — conductive (10³–10⁵ Ω) or anti-static (10⁶–10⁹ Ω)

· Reusable trays and containers

· Harsh manufacturing environments

· Applications requiring chemical exposure

· Long-term, repeated-use scenarios

· When HIPS properties are insufficient
